คำอาหรับคำไหนที่เป็นแรงผลักดันให้สรรสร้างงานวิทยาศาสตร์ฮาลาล

ผมเคยเขียนถึงคุณปู่กิไย้ หะยี อะฮมัด ดะห์ลัน (KHA Dahlan) ผู้ก่อตั้งองค์กรมุฮัมมะดิยะฮ์ (Muhammadiyah) ในอินโดนีเซีย จากชีวประวัติของท่านที่พอหาอ่านได้ แรงบันดาลใจหรือแรงผลักดันให้ KHA Dahlan จัดตั้งองค์กรที่ทำงานเข้มแข็งด้านการพัฒนาสังคมขึ้น คือคำภาษาอาหรับ “อัลมาอูน” (المَاعُون) ที่หมายถึงการทำความดีเล็กๆน้อยๆ เป็นคำจากอัลกุรอาน บทที่ 107 อัลมาอูน กล่าวถึงผู้ที่ปฏิบัติศาสนกิจทว่าละเลยการช่วยเหลือสังคม ไม่ใส่ใจเด็กกำพร้า ไม่ให้อาหารคนยากจน ฯลฯ คนเหล่านี้ย่อมประสบแต่ความเสื่อมถอย KHA Dahlan จึงกระตุ้นให้ผู้เรียนออกไปทำความดีเชิงปฏิบัติหรือทำอัลมาอูนต่อผู้อื่น

ผมเองเริ่มงานวิทยาศาสตร์ฮาลาลไว้ ทั้งวางโครงสร้างงานวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีฮาลาล กระทั่งงานขยายตัวกระจายไปในหลายประเทศ เฉพาะมหาวิทยาลัยมุฮัมมะดิยะฮ์ 146 แห่ง เวลานี้จัดตั้งหน่วยงานด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ฮาลาลแล้วมากถึง 31 แห่ง มีอยู่ครั้งหนึ่งในงานบรรยายที่มหาวิทยาลัยมุฮัมมะดิยะฮ์ อาจารย์ท่านหนึ่งถามผมว่าอะไรที่ผลักดันให้ผมสร้างงานวิทยาศาสตร์ฮาลาลขึ้น ฟังครั้งแรกไม่เข้าใจคำถามดีนัก ทว่าในที่สุดจึงเข้าใจได้ว่าเมื่อ KHA Dahlan มีคำว่าอัลมาอูน สำหรับผมนั้นใช้คำไหนในอัลกุรอาน ตอบเวลานั้นคงไม่ได้ มาถึงวันนี้ผมมีคำตอบแล้ว โดยผมใช้คำว่า “ยุฟลิฮูน” (يُفۡلِحُوۡنَؕ‏)

อัลกุรอานบทที่ 16 อัลนะห์ล วรรคที่ 116 กล่าวว่า “และพวกเจ้าอย่ากล่าวตามที่ลิ้นของพวกเจ้ากล่าวเท็จขึ้นว่านี่เป็นสิ่งฮาลาล นี่คือสิ่งหะรอม เพื่อที่จะกล่าวเท็จต่ออัลลอฮ์ แท้จริงบรรดาผู้กล่าวเท็จต่ออัลลอฮ์นั้น พวกเขาจะไม่ได้รับความโปรดปราน” คำว่ายุฟลิฮูนถูกกล่าวไว้ท้ายวรรค เวลานี้มีนักวิชาการอิสลามจำนวนมากทำหน้าที่รับรองฮาลาลให้แก่ผลิตภัณฑ์จำนวนมากมาย การได้มาของผลิตภัณฑ์เหล่านั้นในอุตสาหกรรมปัจจุบันมีความซับซ้อนอย่างยิ่ง ยากที่จะตรวจสอบด้วยสายตา จำเป็นต้องจัดหานักวิทยาศาสตร์ฮาลาลเข้าช่วยสนับสนุนการตรวจสอบ หาไม่แล้วนักวิชาการอิสลามเหล่านั้นอาจผิดพลาดกระทั่งไม่ได้รับยุฟลิฮูนหรือความโปรดปราน

ยุฟลิฮูนหมายถึงการรับความสำเร็จ รับความโปรดปราน คำนี้มาจากคำว่าฟะละฮฺ (فَلَح) หมายถึงการพรวนดิน ฟัลลาฮ์ คือชาวนาที่พรวนดินเพื่อหว่านเมล็ดพันธุ์และเก็บเกี่ยวผลผลิต ความสำเร็จจึงมาจากการทำงานหนักอย่างสม่ำเสมอ ไม่ได้มาจากโชคลาภ งานวิทยาศาสตร์ฮาลาลทั้งในส่วนของการตรวจสอบวัตถุดิบและผลิตภัณฑ์ทางห้องปฏิบัติการวิทยาศาสตร์ การจัดวางระบบการมาตรฐานฮาลาลในภาคการผลิต การพัฒนาระบบฐานข้อมูลสารเคมีฮาลาล งานเทคโนโลยีบล็อกเชน แอ็พพลิเคชัน แพลตฟอร์มต่างๆ ที่ผมวางแนวทางในการพัฒนาจึงล้วนช่วยให้นักวิชาการอิสลามได้ทำงานง่ายขึ้น ผิดพลาดน้อยลง ทำให้คนเหล่านี้ได้รับความโปรดปรานจากอัลลอฮ์ในงานหนักที่เขาทำ ยุฟลิฮูนจึงเป็นแรงผลักดันให้ผมพัฒนางานวิทยาศาสตร์ฮาลาลขึ้นอย่างที่บอก

ในการบรรยายงานมหาวิทยาลัยมุฮัมมะดิยะฮ์ มาเลเซีย เมืองคางะ (Kangar) รัฐเปอร์ลิส มาเลเซีย เมื่อวันพุธที่ 26 พฤศจิกายน 2568 ผู้ฟังคือผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัยมุฮัมมะดิยะฮ์จากทั่วอินโดนีเซีย รวมถึงนักวิชาการจากหลายประเทศ รวมกันประมาณ 300 คน คำตอบเรื่องยุฟลิฮูนเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในเรื่องงานทางวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีฮาลาลที่ผมนำเสนอในวันนั้น

Which Arabic word inspired the creation of Halal science?

I once wrote about Grandfather Kihai Haji Ahmad Dahlan (KHA Dahlan), the founder of the Muhammadiyah Organization in Indonesia. According to his biography, the inspiration or impetus for KHA Dahlan to establish this organization, which works strongly in social development, was the Arabic word “al-ma’un” (المَاعُون), which means doing small acts of kindness. It’s a word from the Quran, Chapter 107. Al-ma’un describes those who practice their religion but neglect social service, neglect orphans, or feed the poor, etc. These people will only suffer decline. KHA Dahlan therefore encourages students to do practical good, or perform al-ma’un, for others.

I myself began my work in Halal science, laying out the structure for Halal science and technology, and my work has expanded and spread to many countries. Of the 146 universities in Mohammadiyah alone, 31 have established Halal science departments. At one point, during a lecture at Mohammadiyah University, a professor asked me what motivated me to create Halal science. I didn’t understand the question well at first, but eventually I understood that when KHA Dahlan used the word al-Ma’un, which word in the Quran was it used for me? I couldn’t answer at the time. Today, I have the answer: I used the word “Yuflihun” (يُفۡلِحُوۡنَؕ‏).

Quran Chapter 16, Al-Nahl, Verse 116, states: “And do not say that your tongues invent a lie: This is halal, this is haram, in order to lie about Allah. Indeed, those who lie about Allah will not be blessed.” The word “Yuflihun” is mentioned at the end of the verse. Many Islamic scholars are now certifying halal products for numerous countries. Obtaining these products in today’s industry is extremely complex and difficult to visually inspect. It’s necessary to recruit Halal scientists to assist with the inspection; otherwise, these Islamic scholars might make mistakes and even fail to receive Yuflihun or favor.

Yuflihun means to receive success or favor. This word comes from the word Falah (فَلَح), which means to till the soil. Fallah refers to the farmer who tills the soil to sow seeds and harvest the crops. Success therefore comes from consistent hard work, not from luck. Halal science, including the laboratory testing of raw materials and products, the establishment of Halal standards in the manufacturing sector, the development of a Halal chemical database, blockchain technology, applications, and various platforms that I’ve developed, all help Islamic scholars make their work easier, with fewer errors, and thus, they may receive favor from Allah for their hard work. Yuflihun is, as I mentioned, the impetus for me to develop Halal science.

In a lecture given at the University of Muhammadiyah Malaysia, Kangar, Perlis, Malaysia on Wednesday, November 26, 2015, the audience consisted of administrators of the University of Muhammadiyah from all over Indonesia, as well as academics from various countries, totaling approximately 300 people. The answer to Yuflihun was part of the Halal Science and Technology work that I presented that day.
